THE FUSION 2.0 IS A SALUTE TO THE ORIGINAL KARHU ‘FUSION’ MODEL FROM 1996 WHEN IT WAS THE TOP RUNNING SHOE IN THE COLLECTION. TO BRING BACK THE ‘FUSION’ FROM THE ARCHIVES, KARHU REWORKED THE MODEL WITH ITS ORIGINAL DESIGNER AND LAUNCHED IT AS THE FUSION 2.0.
Karhu’s famous M-symbol is derived from the word “Mestari” which means, “champion” in Finnish. As a progressive and on-trend sports brand, Karhu used the M-symbol in different shapes and forms throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. To emphasise continuous progression whilst keeping heritage in mind, Karhu is launching the second instalment of the “True To Form” Pack, this time consisting of this Aria 95 iteration.
Finnish sports brand Karhu drew inspiration from their 90s archives for the three-shoe Tonal pack, released in November 2017. Using their heritage Trampas Plus silhouette as a template, the Fusion 2.0 'Tonal Black' sneaker consists of a soft suede upper decked out in layered overlays. Outdoor rope laces that loop through reinforced midfoot panels add rugged, utilitarian style. Underfoot, the shoe sits on a sculpted sole.
The Synchron Classic is Karhu’scomeback kid – an early ‘90s style reproduced here in all its soft grey OG glory. With luxurious suede uppers and technical mesh inserts, it makes a sporty statement, particularly when accented with undulating panels in a bold cobalt colour. The Synchron’s unique lacing system remains intact – in fact, the only thing setting this one apart from the original is cutting edge technology; these days, it comes with a compression moulded EVA midsole and air cushioning.
Finnish sportswear brand Karhu offers its Fusion 2.0 in a new colorway featuring white and orange accents on the breathable mesh and nubuck upper. Fusing ‘90s sneaker-elements the Karhu Fusion 2.0 sports a neoprene sock liner and an Air deck insole with a orange “M” logo for a Finnish finish.
