Hickory denim has been used for workwear since the 19th century, so-called because it’s ‘as strong as hickory wood’. It’s long been a favorite for railroad gear, still worn in freight yards to this day. Our hickory has been woven by the legendary Kaihara mill in Japan, and at 8oz is reassuringly tough, whilst still light enough for everyday summer-wear.
